Waarde in de Wijk / Value In The Neighbourhood brings together dialogue, research and case studies relating to arts, cultural and regeneration projects and social activism which explore how communities are working together to resolve urban living issues of our time.
This blog begins with a month-long residency Value In The Neighbourhood, a collaboration between Ellen Holleman and Sarah Spanton in the residential district of Poelenburg in the city of Zaandahm. It is one of a series of residencies entitled tHUISbasis commissioned by Parteon and the city of Zaandahm. Together Holleman and Spanton will work with local people opening up thinking around what is ‘of value’. This line of questioning aims to build a foundation for exploring events focussed around skills exchange, bartering and entrepreneurship. www.thuisbasispoelenburg.nl
